springtime buds
SF & Oakland book tour, a free workshop for desk workers & a new pinup collection drop~
hey hey & happy almost springtime…
this month is mad busy! here’s what I’ve got going on:
a baby book tour in the bay
the digital drop of JUICYFRUIT (vol 1) a pin-up collection
hosting a pay-what-you-can occupational therapy workshop
new zines & prints
SF & Oakland: I’m gonna be in your hood w my lovely partner this weekend doing some readings, tabling and signing <3 (poster is referencing these songs , for those of you who were not banging that hyphy in 2006, lollll)
debuting some new prints & zines, continuing fundraising for families in Gaza, doing some comic readings with dope locals, talking with Thien Pham!! and generally celebrating the restocking of COOK LIKE YOUR ANCESTORS :’)
then at the end of this month, I’ll be hosting my first workshop for the Cartoonist Co-op <3
I’ve had sooo many colleagues talk about how they’re just in pain every day. folks only in their mid thirties complaining (and accepting) back pain, wrist pain, stiffness, aches… it’s so normalized in art communities, and - as someone who’s back was broken sparring in bjj like that one scene where Bane snaps Batman’s spine over his knee, and then made a full recovery - I’m kind of obsessed with changing that.
there’s no reason to be suffering on your job (like… isn’t deadlines / office culture / bad pay painful enough?) HUGE shout out to my healing wizard occupational therapist friend Jessica for being down to lead this! it’s pay-what-you-can, and I highly encourage anyone who spends a lot of time sitting, typing, or drawing to consider your health in the long term & learn how to work without putting your health at risk. link to sign up is here!
and nowww, as promised in the last e-mail: JUICYFRUIT is now available for digital download ~
big news too: I am actually printing physical copies of this! (& other work for the first time in years). here’s a preview of other things that will be coming along, including a zine that functions as a compainion piece and anti-genocide action guide to go along with the dragon print I dropped in january.
so if you’d like a physical copy of any of these, stay tuned for ways to get on that.
I generally hate selling products, and have vastly only done so for fundraising purposes, but the book life is telling me to reconsider this.
speaking of which: Raw Paw decided to extend their t-shirt run with me through the rest of March, so if you’re still tryna get one, you can do so here.
otherwise, new sketches are piling up in the usual place - here’s one of em ft. outfits lately. ^
that’s all for now!
thanks for reading~
